Hello everyone,
Long time no post! The Calgary Figure Model Guild is cleaning up the site and adding new groups and models. We’ve been around now for a few years, so its about time! Please look for new drawing groups being added to the section on where to draw, and new male and female models.
We are always looking for dedicated new models to join us, and any private or public groups wanting to hire them. We want to build and maintain a strong figure drawing presence in Calgary!
Thanks everyone
CFMG

Hello all! First off, this is not a fun topic but it needs to be said. Like many of you, I do some figure modelling work in my um….”spare” time. I’ve recently had an unpleasant encounter with a local artist named Tzak in which he brought up some very personal sexual questions during a private session. This type of discussion has ZERO place in this kind of work and tells me that my nudity, to him, implied permission to discuss my sexuality. I have sent an email to him outlining how inappropriate this was and letting him know that I will not model for him in a private or group setting. I bring this up here to prevent our community from having similar encounters with him. It is of particular importance because he has a burlesque themed show coming up in May, and has been looking for Burlesque artists to model. This is an issue I STRONGLY feel needs to be heard and, whatever consequences befall him as a result, he deserves for creating the situation in the first place. Please feel free to share and if anyone wants more detail, ask away. Much love to you all!!
